Thank you very much for your interest in our work. Our research is at the interface of science and technology. The main focus of our work is to develop new functional materials for energy, environment and electronics.

We were the first to demonstrate that zeolite thin films can be used as low-k dielectrics for next generation computer chips, corrosion resistant coatings for aircraft aluminum alloys, and hydrophilic coating for gravity independent water separation in space station. Other applications of zeolite films and membranes that we have explored include wear resistant coatings, biocompatible coatings, anti-fouling coatings, fuel cell membranes, and desalination membranes. And we are now working with our industrial collaborators to commercialize several of these technologies.

We have also been working on the development of new fuel cell catalysts and membranes to reduce their cost and improve their durability to make fuel cells commercially viable (see our Research for details).
